The Navigation Light Monitoring System

The Coast Guard, ABS, and other regulatory agencies require major commercial ships to have elaborate and expensive systems that monitor navigation lights. These monitoring systems are priced out of the reach of small commercial operators and recreational boats.

M & I Systems has developed a multi-element Navigation Light Monitoring System (NLM-100) to meet the needs of the smaller boat owner. This system can be adapted to any vessel and is simple enough for a "handy" boat owner to install.

The NLM-100 Monitor Unit:

Is designed to be installed wherever necessary (one per light).
Has two output leads—one to operate a telltale panel and one to operate an alarm.
Can operate any existing telltale panel or navigation light alarms.
Comes in six basic alarm/telltale panel designs to fit most recreational vessels.

M & I Systems will also custom design more complex panels with work-specific light configurations or with a profile of your vessel to show navigation lights as well as other equipment that must be monitored or alarmed.
